Meaning Without Meaning

We must be in a terrible state
To accept the feeble consolations coming our way
A new life, a new day
Empty platitudes that deliver even less than they say
It's just meaning without meaning
Words that kill other words
Meaning without meaning
If that's all you want then that's all you deserve
You swallow shit, you like its taste
You like to feel it streaming down on your face
That's what you're saying, with the swill you choose
The captains of culture are pissing all over you
It's just meaning without meaning
Words that kill other words
Meaning without meaning
If that's all you want then that's all you deserve
Meaning without meaning
Taking you nowhere

Oracles

No matter what happens to me
I don't believe in destiny
Or fate, or fortune, or the stars
But then I hear from certain guys
They know what's in store for me
They think they can see what I can't
Every old man thinks he can see into my future
Every old man thinks he's got something to say
Every old man thinks he can see into my future
But only if I do things exactly his way
I don't need an oracle
To tell me his master plan
I can sabotage myself as well as anybody can
Every old man thinks he can see into my future
Every old man thinks he's got something to say
Every old man thinks he can see into my future
But only if I do things exactly his way
